Take a ‘peak!’

Trim or option package? No matter the term, this dressed-up and off-road ready Peak Edition has much to offer! A more rugged look highlights this new appearance package for VW and may just in fact elevate the midsize VW’s peak off-road performance! Inspired by the Basecamp Concept from 2019, this new trim boosts appearance and is presented with better all-terrain tires among its wide range of appeal.

Here’s more….

What you get!

As part of this Peak Edition, which will be sold as a trim beginning this summer, a more rugged front fascia and silver underbody cladding will be presented. In true style, across the lower fascia, a gloss black X design, similar to what was presented in the five-passenger Atlas Sport, will be featured. This three-row Peak Edition also adds black-out detailing and its own badging. In specific, an orange and chrome Peak Edition logo will be located on the front panel. The vehicle sits on 18-inch black-painted aluminum wheels with all-terrain tires.

How it looks!

Also in the area of design, the Peak Edition boasts side sills which are black and silver, with the blacked-out theme continuing on the mirror caps, wheel arches, roof rails and around the windows. A tailgate strip is also black, with the Peak Edition also featuring a black and silver diffuser and chrome exhaust bezels. There are also roof rails that complete the blacked-out look.

The interior is marked by black leatherette material with gray accents and orange stitching. The Peak Edition logo is made clear through a black metallic check pattern on the dash and door as well as on the steering wheel. A choice of 30 colors in ambient lighting adds to a beautiful interior, as does a backlit dash design that spells out “Peak Edition.”

A steering wheel clip bears the same logo as the exterior badging.

This entire trim is defined by an aggressive style and provides features that enhance both the on-road and off-road experience. The appearance package is complete with new tires and wheels.

New colors also mark this rugged trim level, with hues like Avocado Green and Pure Grey, both of which are exclusive to the model.

Taking its lead fro the Basecamp Camping concept, the Peak Edition gets set to go on sale this year!

What else we know!

The Peak Edition, which is essentially an appearance package, was unveiled recently at the 2023 New York auto show.

It will offer all-wheel-drive as standard, and is powered by a 269-hp turbocharged four-cylinder engine, which is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

When it goes on sale later this year, it will join a vast array of other three-row SUVs, all of which target families while providing a true outdoorsy look and feel and extreme off-road capability.

Pricing is expected to start at about $50,000.

There could be future applications of this trim, depending on the interest of today’s consumers.

With a promise for Base Campy Off-Roading and an all-new appearance package, the Peak Edition just might be the perfect fit for your every day adventure! More rugged with a number of add-ons, this midsize SUV from VW has it all! Be sure to take a “peak!
