Dessert Bars in Akron, OHWhether you characteristically have a sweet tooth or are merely in the mood for a decadent dessert to cap off a sumptuous meal, Akron is home to many places where you can fulfill the urge to indulge. Take a look a this list to start tempting your taste buds.

1. Pav’s Creamery

Pav’s has one branch conveniently located near the Portage Lakes Area at 3769 Manchester Road and others around Akron, including in nearby Green. This ice cream parlor offers a tempting assortment of flavors to make you crave a milky treat. If you’re a creature of habit, know that many of the items on the menu are actually made from custard and not traditional ice cream. However, you can order familiar favorites such as banana splits and hot fudge sundaes.

Pav’s also features limited-time flavors that rotate weekly, which is fun for people who are always interested in trying something new. Seating is available only on outdoor picnic tables, so keep that in mind if you have a craving when it’s raining. Also, Pav’s accepts cash only, so you might need to visit an ATM before stopping here. However, the low prices won’t break the bank.

2. Pandora’s Cupcakes

When you’re ready for some tasty bites of blissful baked goods, make a beeline for Pandora’s Cupcakes. You’ll find this establishment at 3571 Brookwall Drive, across the street from Aldi in the Montrose community.

Similar to Pav’s, it offers rotating flavors, except in this case they’re swapped out daily. The most current offerings are typically posted by noon each day. You’ll be able to pick from old standbys, such as chocolate and vanilla, or be adventurous and go with a choice like Boston Cream or Strawberry Lemonade. If you have your heart set on a certain flavor, it’s a good idea to keep a close eye on the Pandora’s social media feeds. That’s where you’ll get the first word about sold-out varieties.

Everything’s made from scratch. Plus, no matter what you order, it won’t be expensive.

3. Natalie’s

Natalie’s is a family-owned and -operated business in downtown Akron. It’s open six days a week and provides catering, so if you visit and discover a dessert you want guests to try at your upcoming baby shower, this place has you covered. Prices are reasonable, too, such as 75 cents for a cookie and $5.00 for torte.

If you’d like to choose a cake, the base price for a six-inch creation is $19, all the way up to $90 for a full sheet cake. This business also features a dessert bar full of treats that it can bring to your special event. If you’re gluten intolerant, Natalie’s also offers gluten-free fare.

These are just three of the yummy possibilities when it comes to finding a delectable dessert in Akron. They’re all well-known in the area and good places to add to your must-go list, especially if you’re ready for sweet treats.
