5 Cool Tech Features in the VW Jetta | Volkswagen of AkronThe new VW Jetta has a number of advanced technology features to be aware of. Here are the top five.

Entry Made Simple

The vehicle is equipped with keyless entry technology that allows you to open the doors when you’re within a certain radius just by pulling the handle. You can also use the key fob to unlock the vehicle from a greater distance.

If that’s not enough, the car also includes keyless start technology. As long as the car is within the radius of the vehicle, it doesn’t need to be directly put into the ignition. Keep it in your purse or pocket, and save yourself a little bit of time on the morning commute.

Are you carrying gear to your trunk and need to open the hatchback without having to fumble for the keys in your pocket? The VW Jetta includes hands-free liftgate technology that allows you to swipe your foot under the back bumper to activate the key fob in your pocket and have the door spring open for you.

Weather Sensors

The new VW Jetta includes multiple strengths of LED headlights for the best vision (and visibility) all day long. Daytime lights provide dim visibility, while stronger headlights kick on when ambient lighting levels are low. The headlights are also set in adaptive casing that can rotate the lights as you turn so that you’re always getting the optimal visibility out of your headlights.

Controlling the speed of windshield wipers can be a hassle while you’re driving. Thankfully, this vehicle includes rain sensing wipers that kick on when you need them and operate intermittently based on rain volume.

Climate Control Features for Each Passenger

Those of you who are always a bit chilly will appreciate the heated front and back seats. Controls can be adjusted separately for rear and front seats so that everyone remains comfortable. For front seat passengers, there is also a ventilation system for optimal comfort and seat hygiene.

The vehicle has a dual control system for adjusting temperature settings in different parts of the cabin.

Anti-Theft Technology

This car comes equipped with current anti-theft technology that deters burglars and alerts you quickly when something has happened to your vehicle. Simply having it in your VW Jetta can get you discounts on your auto insurance, so it’s worth installing.

Trip Computers

The trip computer in the car tells you how many miles you’ve driven so that you can keep track of your mileage and your car’s fuel efficiency.

Rear parking technology allows you to see what’s behind the vehicle without craning your neck. Guiding lines show you how close you are to other parked vehicles or objects. You’ll especially appreciate this feature if you have a teenager or other new driver borrowing your vehicle.

As you can see, the new VW line is keeping pace with the speed of technological growth. And, these cars still have the same style and excellent handling as they did before. If you don’t believe us, stop by VW of Akron to see for yourself.
